This year Dolgeville Connected Project Manager Sarah Williams-Herringshaw partnered with First Source Federal Credit Union to expand our students' financial literacy!
To wrap up our programming this year, Ms. Rachel Zielenski quizzed our students on what they have learned with a great interactive jeopardy style game!
We covered a broad range of topics this year including credit reports, taxes, investing and paychecks. The students have done so well and learned so much!

Today at our Dolgeville Connected School, Project Manager Sarah Wililams-Herringshaw, collaborated with Ms. Casey Winter, from Oneida County Cornell Cooperative Extension, Child Care Council. Ms. Casey visited several elementary classrooms to chat about screen time and healthy online habits! Students explored their own technology use, and learned how online activity can affect their mental health and bodies. The students also brainstormed alternative activities they might enjoy trying in place of some of their regular logged screen time! Some great ideas to replace their screen time included running, roller skating, and playing with friends! It’s so great to be connected! #DolgevilleConnected

Good luck to Grace Seeley (400 meter, 800 meter, 1500 meter run) as she competes today at the Section III Girls State Qualifier Meet at CNS High School!

Bill Kardas recently visited Dolgeville 4th grade and answered any questions that our students had. This was a great educational experience for our children and a big thank you to Mr. Bill Kardas for taking time to come to Dolgeville Elementary.

Mr. Soft Serve was at DCS yesterday handing out ice cream to all elementary students and staff. Mr. Soft Serve will return today to treat students and staff in grades 7-12!

Congratulations to Lillian Blakek, who earned the NYS Seal of Biliteracy. Her presentation on the impact of artificial intelligence on the environment was impeccable; her responses to the panel demonstrated her biliteracy skills at an advanced Spanish level. Reminder about the Upcoming Job Fair!
Herkimer BOCES School to Careers and Dolgeville Central School, in collaboration with the NYS Department of Labor, are coordinating a Job Fair on Tuesday, June 2nd, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, in the high school gymnasium at DCS. This event is designed to benefit both students and the broader community. Student participation is scheduled from 1:00-2:30 PM. From 3:00-4:00 PM, the Job Fair will be accessible to the greater community.
