Early Dismissal Friday November 14th at 1:15pm

Dear Dolgeville School Community,
Dolgeville Central Schools will be dismissing all district students PreK-12 at 1:15pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 to accommodate district transportation needs for regular student dismissal and for the Sectional Football Championship Game at the Dome in Syracuse, which starts at 5:00pm. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to juggle our resources and needs for this coming Friday.

Also, the BOCES PreK Program for 3 year old students will dismiss at 12:30pm on Friday.
Also, there will be no late bus (4:30pm) for after school activities on Friday as well.

Congratulations to DCS cross country runner Grace Seeley for her 5th place finish in sectionals at Mount Markham High School on Saturday morning. Grace moves on to compete in the NYSPHSAA championships on Saturday, November 15th at Queensbury High School.

Congratulations to the DCS varsity football team for their sectional semifinal victory over Cato-Meridian on Saturday afternoon. The DCS varsity football team moves on to the sectional finals at the JMA Dome on Friday, November 14th versus Lowville at 5:00 pm.

Dolgeville Central School will be hosting the Herkimer County Music Educators Association’s 2025 All County I Festival, Friday November 7th and Saturday November 8th. The festival features student musicians from throughout the county. At the festival, students work with a guest conductor to prepare several pieces. The festival culminates with a concert performance for the public. The concert will be held on Saturday November 8th at the Sam Camardello Memorial Auditorium, 3:00 PM.

Congratulation to our boys varsity football team, they will be hosting a quarter sectional final game this Thursday, October 30th at 6:00 PM.

Congratulations to our girls cross country team for securing the CSC League Division 2 title this past weekend. Good luck to both the boys and girl cross country student-athletes competing in sectionals on November 8th at Mount Markham.

Winter Athletic Scoreboard and Shot Clock Operators Needed

The Dolgeville Central School District Athletic Department is in need of the following athletic staff for winter home contests. You don't have to be a school staff member to work one of these positions. The position and compensation rate per contest is posted below.

Scoreboard: JV/Varsity Boys Basketball (9 Contests): $25 per contest ($50 for both games)
Shot Clock: JV/Varsity Boys Basketball (9 Contests): $25 per contest ($50 for both games)

Scoreboard: Varsity Girls Basketball (9 Contests): $25 per contest

Scoreboard: Varsity Boys Wrestling (3 Contests): $25 per contest

DES Unity Week: Students and staff wrote messages on a heart that told someone how to be kind or show courage against bullying. Wear Orange Wednesday to show kindness, acceptance and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. We also made a strong message chain to display around the school to show a united stand against bullying.
