Dear Freshman:
Welcome to high school! To have a wonderful, successful, positive start to your high school career, here are a few tips:
Academics: First and most importantly, pay close attention to academics. It is critical that you complete and pass all courses and exams, and earn the appropriate type and number of credits for graduation. During your 9th and 10th grade years you have many required courses to get through. Doing so puts you on a path to take college courses, attend a career tech. program at BOCES, and complete internships or work-study opportunities during your junior and senior years. Work hard and set yourself up to get the most out of your classes.
Clubs and Sports: Challenge yourself to try something new this year. Get involved and broaden your experiences! Clubs and sports are a great way to meet and make connections with new people.
Make Good Choices: Whether it’s asking a teacher for help, getting more information about your schedule and classes, or being an upstander rather than a bystander, now is the time to show everyone the type of person you aspire to be.
I look forward to seeing you at Open House on August 29th. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Primeau
