Dear Dolgeville School Community,
We will be practicing a full campus PreK-12 evacuation drill on Friday, May 29th, at 8:40 a.m. This drill is a simple practice for staff and students and allows us to practice leaving campus temporarily to a secondary location in case of an emergency or necessary reason.
During this time attendance will be taken and groups of students will move to designated locations in the Village of Dolgeville under strict supervision and care. The elementary students and staff will report to the Dolgeville Volunteer Fire Department, middle level staff and students to the Methodist Church, and high school staff and students to St. Joseph's Church - all on Helmer Street.
Once groups reach their destination, attendance will be taken again, and all groups will then begin moving back to campus. Again, this is a planned practice that is necessary so we are best prepared to move off campus in case of an emergency.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact any administrator, we will be happy to answer any questions. This drill should take no more than 45 minutes in total time.
Thank you,
Joseph J. Gilfus, Superintendent
