Dear DCS Families,
I am excited to be the new Director of Pupil Personnel here at Dolgeville. I started in mid-October and jumped right in. The first few months have been spent getting to know the students and the school, and overhauling the CSE office. I look forward to meeting many of you during our Annual Review season and upcoming meetings.
I was born and raised locally, and I graduated from Oppenheim in 1997. I went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Nazareth College, where my career in special education began. With a desire to do more in special education, I completed a Master's Degree from Sage Graduate School in Special Education/General Education. From this, I obtained my first teaching position in 2008. I have had the privilege of teaching in many special education classrooms, serving students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Through this, I was a self-contained teacher to a co-taught teacher. I went on to pursue a Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Special Ed focus and administrative certification. Before coming to Dolgeville, I was an administrator in the special education division at Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES.
It is my goal to bring my passion and drive to this role, as I know it is very important to all of our students. I am a strong advocate and leader. I will continue to work very hard and diligently to ensure that students here at Dolgeville receive the appropriate services within the least restrictive environment that is best for them. I believe in Dolgeville’s mission statement of helping every child to be prepared to go out into the world and know that, for many of our students, what they receive through the CSE office will be an integral part of that preparation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Nadine L. Paul, Ed.D
