Degrees Received:

Mr. Risley graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh for Health Ed and K-9 Ed (Math).  He received his Master's degree at Norwich University, Northfield, Vt.

 

He is also the District's Health and Safety Coordinator.

 

The Health-Safety Council meets every 3rd Monday of the Month.

Course Description

Required for graduation from high school, Health class is the one course that will effect everyone, everyday of their life. The course addresses a variety of health issues/areas: physical health, mental/emotional health, and social health. The hopes are for each individual student to examine his/her own personal health. Students will learn that many factors in their lifestyles may be controlled by an individual, that in turn will help us become physically, mentally/emotionally, and socially healthy. In return they are improving on their individual’s quantity and quality of life. The goal of the course is to encourage individuals to change any health-destructive attitudes and behaviors in their own personal lives to more improved health-enhancing attitudes and behaviors.
