The typical science part of Head Start consists of different things like planting different flowers like marigolds, daisies, and also grass and vegetables are planted too.  Sometimes the plants are planted in a plastic see through bag and hung on the window so the students can see the roots growing and how the water goes down the soil.  There are also two projects made, one a water fountain, and the other a water fall.  They both are inside a 2 liter soda bottle.  Mrs. Pescatore also takes her students on the nature trail outside in back of her classroom.  The students also are present when play dough is made and are given the recipe for them to make it over the summer.  Mrs. Pescatore also makes food with her students, like spaghetti, and Jell-O.  She usually reads a story to go along with the food
