Fifth graders have more responsibility this year because of changing classes for every subject and having to remember supplies for each. As you can see from our schedule, it is a busy day! This will help prepare them for middle school by being independent, responsible and better organized.
The agendas are an important tool to help with these skills. Parents should check these agendas and homework assignments daily. Your child will bring this agenda home on Friday nights for your signature. Please sign your full name and in ink. We will check these on Monday.
CARE is an important part of this year again.
CARE is an acronym for cooperative, good attendance and positive attitude, respect for other, and good effort. Each month new “CARE All Stars” will be chosen from each homeroom and they will be given a reward. If your child misses no more than 2 months of being a CARE All Star, he or she will be eligible for a trip to Pine Lake.
If your child is absent, please make sure that someone picks up the work for that day or days.
